The end of Texhnolyze... Of course, the fact that I watched the whole thing in
one sitting and finished at four in the morning may have had an impact on my
cognitive abilities.
Right now I've got Hanabi (Bleach ED 7) stuck in my head. The problem is, I
haven't listened to it enough for anything but the chorus to play in an infinite
loop...
Anime has several advantages. For one, there's a whole lot of it catering to
every personal preference imaginable. I tend to like abstract, philosophical
shows (such as Serial Experiments Lain) the most, and I've had a hard time
finding similar subject matter portrayed via other mediums. Another strong
selling point is the presentation. You can do a lot more with animated
characters and environments than you can with other mediums without it seeming
lame. More graphic sequences can be handled without crossing the line and
becoming disgusting and/or offensive, and surreal scenes can be abstracted to an
even greater extent. I also find it easier to suspend disbelief and really get
into a show when there are no real elements butting in to point out how
extremely unreal the situation is.
I generally watch opening and ending sequences, unless I'm trying to cram as
much anime into as little time as possible. Heck, sometimes I lug my laptop
around simply so I can watch some of my favorite openings and endings when I'm
bored.
Since the Sharingan can keep up with Rock Lee's insane,
borderline-instant-teleportation speed, I'd have to say that the Sharingan could
keep up with shunpo. The issue is whether the sharingan user can keep up
physically. Since we're talking Itachi with his Mangekyou Sharingan, which he
can use to all but kill someone by just making eye contact, I'll have to give
him my vote.
In my opinion, it's pretty hard to top any of the op material featured in
.hack//liminality, such as A Thousand and One Nights, Kimi ga ita Monogatari,
and Kioku. However, the OP that I've listened to the most is probably still
Duvet from Serial Experiments Lain.
Right now I'm watching Noein. It's pretty different all around, but I like it.
Xenogears, hands down. I've lost count of how many times I've played through that game.
I love tea, especially green tea and chai. I drink an average of six cups a day ^-^
I compulsively buy box sets based on no criteria to speak of. Thus far I've been lucky and enjoyed everything that I've purchased.
